Principal's Message

As principal of Black Mountain Schools, I would like to welcome you to our school. We are an all day Kindergarten – 8th grade school in beautiful Golden Valley, Arizona on Highway 68. I am proud of the academic growth our students have made. Arizona’s Academic Standards on the AIMS test. The faculty and staff of Black Mountain look forward do challenging all students to meet their potential in a safe and caring environment.

Black Mountain offer academic and after-school programs designed to meet the needs of our student. Some of these programs include; Afterschool tutoring, choir, band, Math and Science Club, Study Island, e2020 Online Learning, as well as athletics for 6th – 8th graders. Family activities include Trick-or-Treat on Halloween, Reindeer Lane Gifts, Popcorn/Pickle days and various other fundraisers.

	Kindergarten Round-up Black Mountain School Kindergarten Round Up! May 1st 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Questions contact the office at (928)565-9111.
	Summer Enrichment Program GEAR UP is hosting a free summer enrichment program for all KUSD 7th grade students. The enrichment program will begin Monday, June 3rd and continue through Friday, June 28, 2013.
	Career Fair All GEAR UP Families and their families are invited to attend a career fair Tuesday April 30th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at Kingman Middle School
	Family Game Night, April 19th Friday, April 19th is Family Game Night - This is an event you will not want to miss - Be sure to plan on attending from 5:00p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Sea Camp members will be there with refreshments for sale!
	No Late Start Wednesdays on April 10th and April 17th Due to scheduled AIMS assessments, school will start at 8:55 am on these dates.
